Controllers for electric overhead conveyors (EOC) with different communication types.

Siemens will supplement the electric overhead conveyor portfolio and thus cover the entire range of lightweight to heavyweight EOCs for our customers.

The controllers intended for this purpose are the new SIMATIC S7-1200 and S7-1500, which are both programmed using standard Siemens software.

On the drive end, frequency converters (SINAMICS) and drives (SIMOGEAR) from Siemens, which are also programmed using standard Siemens software, will be used.

The controllers are generally differentiated based on the communication between carriage and plant.

EMS400S communicates by means of power signal booster communication (full duplex pulse code communication via the rail with 4x16-bit/sec)
